GlobalTestMarket Review by LapisLee

GlobalTestMarket is the second best survey site I have found since I started taking paid online surveys in January 2008. They rank 2nd with $356 earned and $305 received. GTM has a very straightforward points system where 1000 MarketPoints equals $50 (5 cents per point) and it doesn’t take long to cash out either. The minimum cash out threshold is 1000 points ($50) and I have cashed out seven times in the past 20 months. It takes about four to six weeks for the checks to arrive and they do not have PayPal.

As with other legitimate sites it is very important to keep your profiles up to date and to click on emails as soon as possible from GTM. Surveys range in value from 5 to 100 points and last about 15 to 30 minutes depending on the point value. You receive 5 points just for attempting a survey, even if you are disqualified. Upon your successful completion of the survey, you also receive three sweepstakes entries and if you are disqualified, you receive one sweepstakes entry. Three monthly prize winners receive a check for $5000 and daily prize winners (one prize winner per day) receive a check for $300. GTM also occasionally sends survey invitations for sweepstakes entries that are so brief and painless that I usually do them all since GTM has been so good for me over the past 20 months. The winner’s list is posted here: http://www.globaltestmarket.com/sweepstakeswinners.php .

Global Test Market, like most other legitimate survey sites, has a very strict privacy policy and will not sell, distribute or make available in any form personally identifiable information of any member of the site without their expressed permission as outlined in their privacy policy. LapisLee’s Top 25 Paid Survey Panels List (October 2009)

by LapisLee on October 6, 2009

Guest Author Lapis Lee’s Top 25 Paid Survey Sites Introduction

I have earned $2651.97 in 20 months, which is $132.60 per month. The average survey site earned $5.30 per month. My actual receipts are $2520.07, which is $126.00 per month.

The top six sites have not changed since last month; although I confess that trips to the beach as well as to the Clapton/Winwood, No Doubt, Paul McCartney and U2 concerts have slowed up my efforts in the survey arena over the summer months. There was a strong surge from Surveyhead, which has caused me to spend less time on other daily survey sites, like Daily Survey Panel and a few others that are not listed here.

Pinecone also jumped ahead when I realized that their online website only tracks the last 20 surveys, which is generally the last $60. There was little to no activity among the bottom dwellers this month; although I did complete a $10 chocolate study for Datalligence, for which the check has not arrived, and I am also waiting on a $10 product test of ten T-shirts from GARB. MyView would rank much higher except that I am forced to use a different email address for the survey invitations due to a PayPal conflict over my primary email address from several years ago. Some sites do not allow you to specify a different PayPal address than the one where you receive the survey invitations. Buzzback has fallen off the list after getting no reply to repeated emails asking about incentive payments from as far back as February.

SurveySpot Review by LapisLee

by LapisLee on October 21, 2009

Survey Spot is the absolute best survey site I have found since I started taking paid online surveys in January 2008. They rank 1st with $422.80 earned and $419.80 received. SurveySpot has a very straightforward cash system, where they send emails that clearly state how much you will earn and how long it will take to complete the survey. The minimum cash out threshold is $5 and I have cashed out 18 times since March 2008. It takes four to six weeks for the checks to arrive and they do not currently have PayPal, although they made an announcement in April 2009 that they would be getting PayPal soon.

As with other sites it is very important to keep your profiles up to date and to click on emails as soon as possible from SurveySpot. Surveys range in value from $1 to $10 and last from a single minute up to 30 minutes depending on the cash value. Upon the successful completion of each survey, you will also receive an entry into the $25,000 Grand Prize sweepstakes and even if you are disqualified you have a chance to play the Instant Win game, either the slot machine or scratch off ticket, and earn either five, 25 or 100 sweepstake entries into their various Instant Win sweepstakes as follows:

Thirty (30) First Prizes (10 per month): $250 Electronics Prize.
Thirty (30) Second Prizes (10 per month): $250 Video Prize.
Ninety (90) Third Prizes (30 per month): $100 Music Prize.
One hundred twenty (120) Fourth Prizes (40 per month): $100 Electronics Prize.
Ninety (90) Fifth Prizes (30 per month): $100 Video Prize.
Three hundred (300) Sixth Prizes (100 per month): $50 Electronics Prize.
One hundred fifty (150) Seventh Prizes (50 per month): $50 Music Prize.
One hundred fifty (150) Eighth Prizes (50 per month): $50 Video Prize.
Total ARV of all prizes: $100,000.

Survey Spot is known for sending many survey invitations for sweepstakes entries and my recommendation is that after you have established your credibility with SurveySpot over a few months and cashed out at least once, you no longer need to take surveys just for a sweepstakes entry; however, a few of these surveys will turn out to be product tests, invitations to lucrative Invoke Interactive panels or forums that pay monthly incentives for posting and completing various activities, so ignore these sweepstakes-only surveys at your own risk. The winner’s list is posted here: http://www.surveyspot.com/rewards.shtml .
Currently, SurveySpot is also running their immensely popular Spot the Winner football contest which has a weekly prize of $50, a monthly prize of $150 and an end-of-the-season prize of $500 to the person that picks the most winners of the weekly NFL football games. I am currently ranked 862nd in this contest.

SurveySpot, like most other legitimate survey sites, has a very strict privacy policy and will not sell, distribute or make available in any form personally identifiable information of any member of the site without their expressed permission as outlined in their privacy policy. In the event of technical or other problems you can contact SurveySpot via their Contact Us page on the main website at http://www.surveyspot.com/svy/survey/ContactMemberServices.jsp . PineCone Research Review

by LapisLee on October 30, 2009

PineCone Research is one of the older, more reliable survey panels online. They consistently send 15 to 20-minute long surveys that pay $3 each and occasionally, they also send products to test. As a PineCone Research panelist, you are part of an elite group that represents consumers nationwide and, your opinion is very important to manufacturers who count on people like yourself to help predict which product ideas are winners and which are losers.

PineCone will only send about one, two or three surveys per month along with household questions (screeners) to insure that you qualify for surveys that are sent. Payment is received via PayPal three to five days after the survey is completed and will be posted to your account from panelpayment

LapisLee’s Top 25 Paid Survey Panels List (November 2009)

by LapisLee on November 14, 2009

Guest Author Lapis Lee’s Top 25 Paid Survey Sites Introduction

I have earned $2901.42 in 21 months from 25 survey sites, which is $138.16 per month. The average survey site earned $5.53 per month. My actual receipts are $2745.57, which is $130.74 per month.

Surveyhead continues to make great strides and $30 was just approved and should be in my PayPal account sometime this week. Greenfield remains stagnant since I am disqualified for virtually every paid online survey from them. I have not had as much time for the Daily Survey Panel, because I prefer the Surveyhead Dashboard set-up. It’s more interactive and removes surveys as soon as you complete them or are disqualified.

Consumer Research jumped into the pack at #9 after they sent me a free webcam and I completed a $100 panel discussion (live on webcam) for $100. I am hoping that I get lots more of these. This also illustrates how much one interactive forum/survey or contest win can change your earnings. Goodbye GARB, for now, but thanks for the underwear and socks!

Datatelligence has really slacked in their promise to send me a check for $20 for their Chocolate Study, but at least they have kept me updated on the problem and are now sending me $30 instead. Ho hum to all of the others except for Global Opinion Panel that sent me ten T-shirts to test. Thanks!

LapisLee’s Top 25 Paid Survey Panels List (December 2009)

by LapisLee on December 27, 2009

I have earned $3224.54 in 22 months from 25 survey sites, which is $145.57 per month. The average survey site earned $5.86 per month. My actual receipts are $2846.67, which is $129.39 per month.

Surveyhead continues to make great strides and could possibly overtake Valued Opinions, the number one spot for earning Amazon gift certificates, in the very near future. Greenfield has been acquired by Toluna, who also recently acquired Your2Cents, and it remains to be seen what will happen with them. I have pretty much given up on Daily Survey Panel due to time constraints and the fact that Surveyhead is just much easier to interact with, tracks earnings for you and has virtually the same surveys. We also see MySurvey and Pinecone Research slowly but surely emerging from the middle of the pack to higher positions of prominence.

The point that I would like to make this month is that my top five survey sites account for 47% and my top ten survey sites account for 65% of my total earnings over the past 22 months, so many of these survey sites are like insurance for when my top sites earn more slowly; however, you just never know when a slower-earning site might move up to the top of the pack and become a top ten site unless you continue taking the surveys and carefully track your earnings. I think it’s clear that no one needs to be a member of hundreds, or even dozens, of different sites to earn a decent monthly income that can pay for your internet connection, your cell phone and, maybe, even your cable TV!
